European Clean Hydrogen Alliance – Roundtables

Recently, we have received the favourable news about our continuity as a member of the “Clean hydrogen for residential applications” roundtable of the European Clean Hydrogen Alliance. Are you familiar with the role of this organization?

The European Clean Hydrogen Alliance is an initiative launched by the European Commission in July 2020, as part of the EU’s strategy for energy system integration. The Alliance aims to accelerate the deployment of hydrogen technologies and infrastructure in Europe, in order to achieve the EU’s goal of becoming climate-neutral by 2050.

The Roundtables of the European Clean Hydrogen Alliance are thematic working groups that bring together stakeholders from across the hydrogen value chain to identify and address the key challenges facing the development and deployment of clean hydrogen technologies. The roundtables focus on six key areas:

  • Hydrogen production
  • Clean hydrogen transmission and distribution
  • Clean hydrogen in industrial applications
  • Clean hydrogen for mobility
  • Clean hydrogen in the energy sector
  • Clean hydrogen for residential applications

Clean hydrogen Each Roundtable is co-chaired by a representative from industry and a representative from the European Commission, and includes experts from academia, civil society, and other relevant stakeholders. The Roundtables work closely with the European Commission and other policy-makers to provide input and recommendations on policies, regulations, and funding opportunities to support the development and deployment of clean hydrogen technologies in Europe.
